We are all hoping for a decent summer this year and with that thought in mind many corporate events organisers are busy sorting out suitable venues for their customers. Look beyond hiking and camping as outdoor events.
A lot of people men and also a fair amount of women enjoy playing golf. The planning of business meetings at a golf course is a good idea. More often than not it appears to be the case that people who have participated before are usually keen to do so again.

One of the most popular ideas is the “Scramble” this will allow each player to tee off and then play is continued from the best tee shot. Another popular format is “Better Ball” and this will allow all the players to play their own ball but then the best score in a foursome is recorded.
Golfers really enjoy competing for prizes which is ideal for circulating corporate gifts.

Cruising and Sailing is also popular. What could be better than a day spent on the water? Chartering a private yacht or boat for the day is the ultimate experience. There are companies that charter Tall Ships, historic Sailing Barges and Paddle Steamers.

Some events that are organised on board these ships are whiskey, wine, champagne and spirit tasting cruises to “chocolate cruises”. This is a fascinating idea and during the day teams take on the challenge of designing their own chocolates, packaging, adverts and even slogans.

There are also “cooking parties” which are arranged with top chefs in charge. These events are tailored to suit and can include hands on classes which is excellent once again for team building. What could be better than a themed African cruise with leading caterers and entertainment from the Caribbean?

So whether you are having to organise a staff party or exclusive dinner party this cannot fail to please and it’s a better option than either hiking or camping.

Now all we have to do is keep our fingers firmly crossed and hope for a great summer.
