Go Camping With A Coleman Camping Stove
April 8th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedCamping equipment is a broad word that applies to camping supplies required during camping trips. Coleman camping equipment refers to an extremely well-known and reliable brand of camping gear. Coleman camping stoves are available for many types of fuel sources and some may use more than one type. Some camping stoves burn propane, some gasoline, some butane and some a propane, butane mix. Camping stoves should be light and robust and fuel efficient. Stoves such as the MSR which are able to burn almost any petroleum product (but best with paraffin or kerosene) are best, but gas stoves are more convenient to use if you know that you can buy the cylinders at your destination.
Backpacking usually involves hiking around with all your camping gear strapped to your back so the idea is to travel as light as possible. Backpacking is a wonderful experience and increasingly a popular way to see the world. Backpackers generally try to keep costs at a minimum and camping is a great way to do that.
Watch for the sales, usually at the end of a season, for Coleman camping stoves. For camping, you may find the discount camping equipment during the middle of winter when camping is not prime time. And of course, discount is in the eye of the beholder?

Buying An Inflatable Camping Air Mattress
March 25th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedBuying An Inflatable Camping Air Mattress
When many people think of camping, they immediately conjure up an image of roughing it in the great outdoors in a flimsy tent, a sleeping bag and a waterproof ground sheet – and that’s after scouring the campsite for looking for the flattest piece of ground available.
Fortunately you can go camping nowadays and still get a good night’s sleep if you take an inflatable camping air mattress with you.
What Kind Of Price Should I Expect To Pay?
If you go camping regularly, a self-inflating camping air mattress will be worth its weight in gold, so it’s a good idea to splash out on a decent one. If camping is just an occasional hobby then a cheaper air mattress will suffice.
In this case you could buy a roll up air mat instead of an actual mattress. This is really halfway between an air mattress and sleeping on the floor. They aren’t as popular as the air mattress though, and they don’t fold down as compactly either.
Whatever model you go for, you can expect to buy a good camping air mattress for a reasonably good price. Don’t forget to buy a camping air mattress repair kit if you don’t get one included automatically with your purchase.
What Types Of Inflatable Camping Air Mattresses Are Available?
Most of these beds have one thing in common, and that’s a flock top. Air mattresses are usually made from a PVC type material, and sleeping on this would be rather uncomfortable, so the flock finish gives a more material feel to the bed, and makes for a more comfortable night’s sleep.
Some of the better models come with a foot pump for inflating them, but the cheaper air mattresses will rely on the owner supplying their own pump… or inflating it themselves.
However the best choice for those who go camping regularly will no doubt be the self inflating camping air mattress. When you have a tent to put up as well, you’ll be glad you bought one of these to make life easier for yourself. These work by way of a valve, which inflates the bed when opened, so you can leave your bed to inflate by itself while you congratulate yourself on putting the tent up correctly! There is a wide range to choose from at Altrec’s Outlet Warehouse
Going camping is a wonderful way to get in touch with nature and enjoy some well earned rest. Sleeping in the great outdoors is a life-enhancing experience, and it can be made even more comfortable with an inflatable camping air mattress.

Where To Find Snowmobile Trail Maps
February 18th, 2008    Subscribe To Our Feed
Snowmobile Trail Maps are now available online from many sources.
Often snowmobile clubs keep the snowmobile trail system in good condition. The club members conduct trail grooming on a voluntary basis and give their time to develop and maintain the trails with the latest equipment.
In some areas in the northeast of the US it is possible to snowmobile for a a week or more and never cross the same trail twice.
Many snowmobile communities are located right on the Canadian border, which makes travel by snowmobile into Canada a cinch. The Northeast Snowmobile Trail (NEST), an international snowmobile trail system linking Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Quebec. NEST, the Interconnecting Trail Systems (ITS), and local club trails provide the snowmobiler with a variety of scenic rides to choose, whether it be a long loop ride, short scenic jaunt or a trip through the entire county.

Camping Necessities - Make A List Before You Go Camping
February 4th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedAlways make a list of camping necessities before you go camping. You’ll need a tent, you’ll need blankets or a sleeping bag, and you’ll need food or ways to catch and cook food. Beyond that, any camping equipment you take along with you is just going to weigh you down. You can protect yourself against not taking too much by making a camping list. A camping list, if it’s stuck to, can contain your camping necessities and make your trip enjoyable and exciting while providing just enough equipment to get you by.
Save Money On Camping Gear
You’ll also want to make sure you have a budget set aside to purchase the items on your list. This is assuming that you don’t already own the camping necessities. If you’re going shopping for the camping equipment, however, you’ll want to shop around to make sure you are getting the best deals. Many people choose camping as a vacation because it can be an inexpensive way of having a holiday. Getting good deals on your camping list items will help you save money while still enjoying the vacation of a lifetime. Watch for close out sales for some great bargains.
You first item on your camping list should be for shelter purposes. This is typically where you’ll list what kind of tent you want. If you’re going by yourself, a one- or two-person tent is all you’ll need. By getting a slightly larger two-man tent you’ll be a little more comfortable, and have some space to store your gear at night. Just make sure your tent keeps out the elements and the bugs.
The next items on your camping list should be for the purpose of catching food, cooking food and preparing food. Then, you’ll want to either carry water with you or you may want to bring a water purifier for cleaning water you find while you’re out there. The smart move would be to take both as you never know when you’ll find water.
If you want to put a few other items on your list, such as pocket knives, fire starting materials and such, make sure you only take what you think you’ll use. Also keep in mind that you’re going to have to carry all this stuff around with you. If you’re too weighed down, you won’t get far if you happen to be hiking. If you only take what you need, you’ll be free to roam wherever you want and you’ll have a far more enjoyable time. So make a list, and make sure you stick to it to have the most enjoyable camping experience. It’s only by keeping to your list that you can keep from taking too much and being weighed down when you’re trying so hard to relax.
